Pepsi released an ad yesterday that is sparking heated debate on social media.
The ad shows Kendall Jenner in the middle of a photo shoot, and then noticing the massive street protest and choosing to join. Kendall then appears to end the protest by sharing a Pepsi with a police officer.
People on Twitter are calling the ad tasteless, saying it takes advantage of "serious issues and movements to sell soda."
Pepsi itself defended the ad by saying it reflects people from different walks of life coming together in the spirit of harmony.
Kendall has not commented on the ad's controversy.
UPDATE: the video is no longer available online. TMZ tweeted that the company has pulled the ad following the controversy.
