What will Gwen Stefani wish for when she blows out her candles on her Oct. 3rd birthday? A little girl.

"Gwen wants next year's birthday present to be a baby girl," says a pal of the No Doubt rocker, who will turn 43.

The singer and fashion mogul already has two sons. Kingston, 6, and Zuma, 4, with musician hubby Gavin Rossdale. But she's hoping to add some pink into the mix.

"She knows time is definitely not on her side because of her age and has been debating for the last couple of years about trying," says the friend. "If she doesn't get pregnant by the end of the year, she says it's just not meant to be."

The insider added that Gwen's inspiration for one last attempt is her children's clothing line, Harajuku Mini, which she launched late last year. She envisions her own daughter modeling her designs. "Gwen loves her boys dearly," says the insider, "but she'd love to see her designes on her baby girl."
