ABC seems to love giving out free things. First it was those ever-so-coveted roses on the many seasons of The Bachelor, and now cold hard cash on Bachelor Pad in its third spin-off season.

On Monday, Bachelor Pad ended with contestant Nick Peterson winning the $250,000 prize. Surprisingly, almost no one favored him to win, and even more shocking, he decided not to split the loot with his partner Rachel Truehart.

Talk about an underestimated win! A quarter of a million dollars is certainly a hefty chunk of change. Nick called into On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about what he plans on doing with all of his earnings.

“I am going to buy a nice new Jeep Wrangler, but after that I’m going to invest a good amount of it and I’m going to be smart with it. It’s not enough to retire, but it’s a good chunk of change,” Nick says.

So what about teammate Rachel who he stiffed out of a whopping $125,000? He told us he hasn’t spoken to her since the finale, although it’s hard to imagine she’ll be waiting for his call after her major financial loss. Just another days work on Bachelor Pad!
