Ryan Seacrest has been busy, busy, busy, since arriving in London for the Olympics, but he realized he would have a little bit of free time this weekend and thought it would be the perfect time to go explore the city…but where to go? Well, Ryan knew he could count on Russell Brand to give him some suggestions, so during “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” he gave him a call.
On What To Do In London:
Russell told Ryan: “Go out in Shortage, you’re going to have a lovely time in Shortage. Go to 93 Feet East. Go up and down Kingsland Road in Hackney, it’s thriving young community. But you also enjoy London’s glittering West End, where the stars go out to play. The young chorus dancers from the west End shows, a glittering array of beautiful homosexuals, everything anyone could wish for in the nightlife.”
On Canary Wharf:
“It’s like a regenerated gentrified area, but it used to be for sort of Cockneys, you’re right there in the core of East London, it’s where gangsters used to roam, where Jack The Ripper plied his deadly trade, but now it’s like sterile office blocks.”
