Who knew that looking for love was such a lucrative gig? If Roberto Martinez gets his way, his next stint in Hollywood is going to involve pretty girls and a pretty payday.

Martinez first caught our attention as a contestant on the sixth season of the “Bachelorette,” where he vied for—and won— the heart of Ali Fedotowsky. However once the couple split in November, Martinez became largely M.I.A.

According to WetPaint, Fedotowsky moved on to more prominent positions in the spotlight, earning a new job hosting the NBC lifestyle show, “1st Look.” Now it appears Martinez is looking for a television job of his own—as the next “Bachelor.”

U.S. Weekly is reporting that Martinez “is demanding a big payday to be the next ‘Bachelor.’” The magazine quotes a source from ABC who says Martinez wants around $750,000, apparently the same amount that season eight star of the “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard asked for as part of her negotiations with the network.

According to U.S. Weekly,  Fedotowsky is totally against the idea. “Ali is dying for him not to do it,” says the ABC source, “She feels it’s a slap in the face. Any chance for them reuniting is over.”
