“American Idol” season 8 champ, Kris Allen released his sophomore album Thank You Camellia last month to rave reviews. Kris recently came by to perform his “Girl Pop Medley.” It combines hits from ladies like Katy Perry and Rihanna, but it also includes Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend.”

We asked Kris how a guy’s single became part of the female mix. He told us: “We’ve had this little ‘Girl Pop Medley’ for awhile, then we were practicing it in the bathroom and ‘Boyfriend’ just happened to come out and now it has become part of the ‘Not So Girl Pop Medley Anymore.’”
